Signing in to Chrome
Chrome is the web browser developed by Google. Just like any other browser, it has advantages and disadvantages. For our purposes in school (and doing school work at home), the advantages win out. Among them are that by signing in you have:
Signing in will also give you the closest experience possible on a PC or Mac to using a Chromebook/Chromebox. So if you or your students are working on one of those devices and want to continue that work later on a computer, sign in to Chrome to make the experience as seamless as possible.
- bookmarks that travel with you to any computer
- customized settings, like start pages, appearance, etc., that also travel with you
- extensions (see below) will automatically load on any machine
- access to Synergyse, 24/7 on demand help with all the major Google services
- the ability to add a desktop shortcut to your customized Chrome
